Pipe Welder Specialist

IMPORTANT NOTE: While the Pipe Welder Specialist certificate is an approved program for Sandburg, we are not enrolling at this time while we review program updates to offer the best educational opportunities for our students.

The American Welding Society Level 1 certificate may be of interest to you. Please contact the Welcome Center at 309.345.3500 or welcomecenter@sandburg.edu, or your advisor for more information.

The Pipe Welder Specialist certificate program is designed to provide students a hands-on specialty welding certificate that emphasizes training and the mastery of welding techniques in pipe welding. Students will specialize in ARC and TIG welding and build skill proficiencies aligned with the American Welding Society Level II Welder Standards.

Admission requirements

Pipe Welder Specialist is an open-enrollment program, meaning there are no criteria students must meet to be admitted.

We encourage all prospective students to visit the campus. We have several Explore Sandburg open houses throughout the year, or you can schedule a campus visit at your convenience.

Career and technical programs/courses are offered without regard to race, color, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, or status in any group protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
